Philippians 1:1 “Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons”
Please note three things about the word “saints”. It is referring to those who have been saved. The good news is that it doesn’t mean they had perfection; they still sinned just like we do. Second when we are called ‘saints’ we are also ‘called to be saints’. It is wrong for an adult to always act like a kid. And thirdly for Paul, saints was interchangable with Christians. He wasn’t writing to a select group but to the church as a whole which includes us.
