Trying to break in

John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, to kill, and to destroy”. I thought about this as I went to get into my car. As I was about to climb in I noticed some fresh scratches, scratches that were in a curious place.

There they are, small and just above the rubber molding of the driver side door. Upon seeing this I did a quick inspection to see where exactly those scratches appeared in relation to the door controls. Yep, directly above the inside door handle as well as the button to lock/unlock the doors.

While I hope it is coincidence it appears someone tried to get in for whatever reason.
So why did I start off with that portion of scripture? Satan will try to be very subtle in his sneaking into your life, home, and ministry. He doesn’t need to come charging in like some bull in a china shop. His intentions however are not so gentle in nature.
This enemy of our soul is looking to steal anything he can (such as our joy) away from us to stop us dead in our tracks. He is looking to kill as many relationships as he can both family relationships and spiritual relationships. And he is hunting to destroy our testimony.
Had the car been stolen that would stink but the car can be replaced. These things that Satan is after are harder to replace or fix and in some cases can’t be at all. Such damage doesn’t just hurt the Christian it sends people to Hell. Be on guard remember 1 Peter 5:7 “Be sober, be vigilant; for your adversary the devil, walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” He is on the prowl for each of us trying to break in any way he can.
