On December 25th each year we celebrate Christmas. I do not worship the fat man in the red suit nor his flying venison. At my house it is about Jesus. Was He actually born on December 25th, I do not believe so. A thorough study of Luke 1&2 indicates the time was most likely in the spring. Since we do not know for sure we have dedicated December 25th as the day we will celebrate.
Before the presents are opened my family prays. We thank God was His blessings on us and for that greatest blessing of all, the gift God Almighty gave mankind.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
The greatest gift is Jesus.
It came at the greatest price Jesus was given in exchange for us.
He is the only begotten or sole born of God so that we could be adopted into the family, Ephesians 1:5.
This gift will last for eternity for those who accept it. But that is the thing, it is completely free to us but it is required in order for us to have it that we must accept it.
Jesus is willing to save everybody, would you like Him to save you? All you have to do is confess to Him you are a sinner and need to be saved, trusting that He will do as He promised He will do, Romans 10:13.
