A two-edged verse

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
A dangerous verse here, because we tend to only look at it in positive light.
It works both ways.
Raise a child to embrace sin and he will have a harder time escaping it’s grasp. Some may call it “being a product of my environment” and others “human nature”. However you choose to slice it, garbage in garbage out is all it comes down too. If we raise our sons to think of girls as nothing more than their play-things than that is all girls will ever be to them. Should they be taught to honor themselves and honor girls chances are they will honor both. Our sin nature works against us enough as is why add to it’s power?
