Flawless

John 19:23 “Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and his coat also: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.”
In this passage John further expounds to us the parting of Christ’s clothes by the soldiers. In his exposition he points out to us that Jesus’ outer coat was one piece, in other words no seams. This garment was called a Colobium, or a seamless garment that popular in that day.
The take away I believe is that it was just one piece no parts had to be added together to make the whole as a typical garment is. This garment represents the fact that salvation is not many parts added together to make salvation. It shows that their is nothing we can do to add to salvation. It also points to the fact that Jesus is indeed the only, one true way to heaven. That it must come from Jesus.
While there are things in the body of Christ that different individuals are called to do, just as the other garments if His were divided up, the covering for our sins that is salvation cannot be torn up by man.
Salvation is flawless. Salvation is seamless. Salvation however is necessary for all or it will be eternity in Hell.
