Having been on lite duty for a few weeks has lead to a couple of observations. One is a greater understanding of why ownership wants the drivers to have better control over their product orders. Too much product ordered but not sent out or too much sent out that doesn’t get sold leads to a great deal of stale bread. I have spent a lot of time throwing out stale bread over this time.
While we do have a deal in place for this stale bread to be recycled it still seems like such a waste. The potential to be used was there but it wasn’t in the end.
1 Corinthians 3:12,13 “Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.”
Paul in his writing here is talking about our time before the Judgement Seat of Christ where we will be rewarded for our service for Him here. The gold, silver, and precious stones are for a job well done. While the wood, hay, and stubble represent the waste. Those things that we could have done but didn’t.
stale bread, I worked several years, delivering and picking up bread. Changing to chips was wonderful, weeks on the shelves instead of days, heaven. Hope you are doing better, how is the little girl? Blessings
