The champion

Romans 14:11 “For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”
A man died yesterday. Years ago he boasted of having taken on the world, of being the greatest, and of having been a 3 time world champ. I am not here to bash him.
I would say however this, he was just a man. In the comic books he may have beat superman but in eternity even he will bow the knee to the true champion as we all shall.
Christ Jesus is the true champion. He alone stands undefeated. The cross and the three days in the borrowed tomb only represent the ref would have been counting him out. God foretold in Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” about the cross. It would be a blow, yes, but not a finishing blow to Jesus. On the other hand to Satan, his forces, and the penalty for sin it would be the decisive knock out punch.
All those who will accept Jesus as their saviour can stand with Him one day in Heaven. Those who refuse His free offer of salvation will spend it in Hell.
If you would like to be saved now is the time. Confess to Jesus you are a sinner, that you want Him to save you. If you truly believe Jesus will save you, He will. Jesus has promised that who ever asks Him to save them He will, Romans 10:13.
